Oracle has embedded a large number of AI agents across Fusion Cloud Applications with most included at no additional subscription cost. This is why data readiness is frequently skipped: activation is a configuration decision rather than a purchase, so it does not trigger the diligence a procurement cycle would have forced.

Fusion Agentic Applications arrive across ERP, HCM, and SCM

Oracle's 26B release marked the arrival of Fusion Agentic Applications. ERP updates included new AI agents for the ledger, payables, expenses, and payments, plus a Security Command Center. Supply Chain and Manufacturing released ten agentic apps including a Sourcing Command Center and a Cost Accounting Close Workspace. HCM delivered seven agentic apps across hiring, employee support, learning, and workforce management.

Data prerequisite: The ledger and payables agents read account hierarchies, entity structures, and supplier master data directly. Organizations with unreconciled hierarchies across general ledger and planning applications should expect exception volume proportional to the disagreement.

Capture configuration framework for invoice ingestion

Oracle introduced a unified configuration framework named Capture, organizing invoice ingestion and processing. Document Receiving End Points define the endpoints used to receive invoices from external parties including suppliers, supporting automatic ingestion from multiple sources. Invoice ingestion supports multiple file formats, languages, and multi-page documents.

Data prerequisite: Ingestion quality is not the constraint most organizations hit. Resolution against the supplier master is. Duplicate suppliers and records lacking a valid pay site produce exceptions regardless of how well extraction performs. See the five failure modes.

Payables Agent worker agent chain documented

Oracle detailed how the Payables Agent passes an invoice through specialized worker agents. The Document IO Agent captures and validates invoice data using large language models. A Compliance and Control Agent then checks for anomalies such as unusually large amounts, mismatched currencies, or duplicates, and confirms taxes are applied correctly.

Data prerequisite: The anomaly detection depends on consolidated vendor history. Duplicate supplier records fragment that history and quietly degrade detection quality, which is a harder failure to notice than an outright exception.

Partner agents arrive on the Oracle AI Agent Marketplace

IBM announced three agents built with Oracle AI Agent Studio and available on the Oracle Fusion Applications AI Agent Marketplace, covering intercompany agreement review, sales order entry, and requisition to contract conversion.

Data prerequisite: Partner-built agents consume the same master data as Oracle's own. A marketplace agent does not carry its own data quality layer, so readiness requirements are unchanged by where the agent originated.

EPM and EDM agent access requires Agent Studio

Oracle's EPM AI documentation states that using EPM AI Agents and Agentic Apps requires Oracle Enterprise Performance Management Enterprise Cloud Service or Oracle Enterprise Data Management Cloud Service, plus a Fusion Applications environment with AI Agent Studio. Some AI features are available to all EPM and EDM customers without that Fusion subscription.

Licensing note: Confirm which side of that line a planned capability falls on before scheduling activation. The distinction between features available to all EPM and EDM customers and those requiring Agent Studio changes the dependency chain.
